Clark Communications works with Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) to raise awareness and encourage use of urban woodlands across Central Scotland, demonstrating how they can improve the health and wellbeing of communities.

As part of our activity, Clark Communications also works alongside Forest Enterprise Scotland (FES), an agency of Forestry Commission Scotland that manages the National Forest Estate.  One of our key projects with FES was to support the development of Cuningar Loop in Glasgow, establishing the space as a community woodland.  This £5.7 million project has transformed 15 hectares of derelict land on the banks of the River Clyde into a stunning woodland park.

For this project, which won a CIPR Pride Award, Clark Communications developed a three-year communication strategy focusing on direct community engagement, partnership communications and media relations.

The park opened in early 2016 and we continue to work with FES to raise awareness of the activities taking place at Cuningar Loop, and its offering to the local community and beyond.
